Rev. Dr. Mae Elise Cannon is a speaker and author on the topics of spiritual formation and social justice. She is ordained in the Evangelical Covenant Church and holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in History from the University of California – Davis. Rev. Dr. Cannon has a heart for justice; she speaks and writes frequently about God’s heart for the poor and oppressed. She is passionate about the idea that our faith must be expressed in a way that mimics this heart of God. Rev. Dr. Cannon speaks to audiences large and small, both in the United States and throughout the world. She is the author of numerous articles as well as books on spiritual formation and justice. She has served both in churches and in non-profit advocacy.
